The biggest (and only) marketing event in western Bohemia – about the future of online advertising, performance and brand campaigns, and AI and its implementation in company processes – took place on 25 October 2023 at the Tech Tower in Pilsen. This marketing conference, held under the patronage of Archetix, Digital Depo, SimpleShop and Zboží.cz, was completely free, and great refreshments were arranged for the guests too.
But what actually is Marketing Pilsen? It is an event where marketing professionals share methods and tips from the field. Various topics straight from practice often come up in case studies. Admission is free and it is held regularly in the Plzeňka pub in Pilsen. If you would like to learn more about Marketing Pilsen, you can look at its Facebook or website.
And now we can get to the biggest marketing event in western Bohemia.
Conference Programme
The whole programme was put together thanks to professionals from the industry, whose talks lasted about 30 minutes, followed by a discussion that usually got very lively.
Everything was moderated by the CEO of Archetix, Marek Čech, who took on the role of moderator brilliantly.

The first talk was given by Lukáš Kostka on the topic How (Not) to Go Crazy Because of AI? Lukáš deals mainly with data and with finding new approaches to digital marketing. He drew on his professional practice and in his talk examined AI in marketing, sharing with us proven tips and how to head in the right direction.
The second talk was given by Petra Dolejšová, and once again she did not disappoint us with her lively and experienced delivery. Petra spoke on the topic How to Prompt Correctly (and Legally) and Not Play Russian Roulette? She examined in detail whether we are using AI content generation correctly, explained how copyright works for generated outputs, what not to put into a prompt and much more on this issue.

The next talk, on What Goals to Track in Analytics So That They Are Useful for You, was given by Roman Appeltauer. Roman is an outstanding analyst behind the signals.cz project and specialises in the most complex analytical challenges, so it is no surprise that his talk went the same way. He drew on his many years of knowledge of the field and presented good and bad examples of how to track data and approach designing the right goals.
A coffee break followed, after which Petr Minařík took over the programme and covered the topic SGE: Doom or Opportunity? From the point of view of a content website publisher, he answered questions on whether it is possible to prepare for Google’s SGE change, how “helpful content” and Google’s recent updates fit into the whole concept, and what SGE will really look like.
After Petr, Ladislav Vitouš came on stage with the talk Automate or Die: The Future of PPC in an AI-Driven World. Ladislav is a PPC specialist behind the first Czech podcast devoted exclusively to PPC advertising. He dealt with how AI has affected the work of PPC specialists, whether it is a threat to them, what to focus on, which skills to acquire and many other practical tips.
After more refreshments we went straight into the next, sixth talk, on The Future of Marketing on Social Networks: Survival in the Era of AI and AR/VR. Daniel Šilha, Advertising Director at the agency Socialsharks, has rich experience navigating the dynamic world of digital marketing. He focused on how technology is rapidly changing the marketing landscape and how marketers and content creators will adapt to these novelties.
The last, seventh talk was by Tomáš Šusta on How to Face New E-commerce Challenges? Tomáš has rich marketing experience, from event management and brand marketing through campaigns for big players on the Czech market to communication lead at Shoptet. In his talk he opened topics such as which factors will decide success in the future, advice, tips and tricks, and at the same time a look at data from the largest e-commerce platform in Czechia and Slovakia.

The whole conference ended with great refreshments and networking, where everyone could share their impressions, meet the speakers in person and perhaps still ask questions there had been no time for during the talks.
If you are interested in another view of this conference, you can read the article by Dudlu.cz (in Czech), for which we thank them :).
We also thank all the partners who took part in making the conference happen, all the participants and those who attended the conference. It would not have worked without you!
